WCA Members respond to COVID-19

The spread of COVID-19 continues to have a significant impact around the world, and with communities facing this challenge in different stages and at different times, this unprecedented situation has shown us that a lot can change over a very short period. More than ever, we are asked to support our governments around the world in ensuring that essential services like health, power and food are available to support our daily lives.

Our industry members understand this responsibility. Governments and economies are dependent on a responsible coal industry being in place to support energy demand and infrastructure right now, and in the future, for economic recovery.

By taking extra measures, donations to support local services, promoting public health information, building temporary infrastructure and keeping supply lines open, our industry and members continue to work safely and responsibly to guide us through these extraordinary times.
