WCI Chief Executive presentation at World Future Energy Summit - Abu Dhabi

Milton Catelin, Chief Executive of the World Coal Institute, today gave a presentation at the 'World Future Energy Summit', held in Abu Dhabi, 18-21 January.

Mr Catelin joined speakers that included royalty, heads of state and ministers, senior government officials, investors and financial experts - amongst others - to discuss future energy issues. Mr Catelin presented on the issue of coal and carbon capture and storage (CCS) in a session chaired by the head of the Global Carbon Capture and Storage Institute (GCCSI) Nick Otter.

Other speakers in the session 'Carbon Capture and Storage - Industry in the Making' included:

  • Graeme Sweeney, Executive Vice President, CO2, Shell International Petroleum Company Limited
  • Sam Nader, Director Carbon Management Unit, Masdar
  • Jim Carter, Chair, Alberta Carbon Capture & Storage Development Council
