Milton Catelin Speaking at Coal Energy Africa
30 July 2010
*Please note this event has now been postponed until 23-24 November 2010*
Milton Catelin, Chief Executive of the World Coal Institute, will be in Johannesburg next month to provide the keynote address at "Coal Energy Africa - changing the face of coal".
Coal provides about 75% of South Africa's primary energy needs, supports 90% of the electricity generated and provides feedstock for the country's synthetic fuels manufacturing plants.
However, South Africa faces energy challenges. The conference will review options for maximising the efficiency of the coal supply chain and review how transport logistics and production deliverables of coal can be improved.Increasing efficiencies at coal-fired power plants, new approaches in reducing emission levels and the application of power generation technologies, will also be debated and discussed.
Coal Energy Africa 2010 facilitates close-knit peer-to-peer networking and information exchange at the highest level, and is a must-attend for any senior executive with commercial interests in coal energy in Africa.
Coal Energy Africa is taking place from 16-17 August.
